Repurposing a Microlesson into Other Media

Once a microlesson has been created and reviewed, Lurny allows the same learning content to be transformed into other media formats.

Purpose

Once a microlesson has been created and reviewed, Lurny allows the same learning content to be transformed into other media formats. From the Content Tools panel, creators can repurpose a microlesson as:

  • Video

  • PowerPoint presentation

  • Podcast

  • SCORM package

  • Voiceover-enabled content

This helps organisations derive greater value from a single piece of approved content without recreating it separately for every learning channel.

Why repurpose learning content?

Learners differ in how they prefer to access and engage with information. Their choices may also depend on their role, environment, available time, device and accessibility requirements. Offering the same learning in multiple formats gives learners greater flexibility.

For example:

  • A learner may read the microlesson during a short break.

  • A field employee may listen to the podcast while travelling.

  • A trainer may use the PowerPoint during a classroom session.

  • A visual demonstration may be easier to understand as a video.

  • A learner with reading or accessibility needs may benefit from a voiceover.

  • An organisation may export the content as SCORM for use in another learning platform.

Rather than treating people as fixed “visual” or “auditory” learners, Lurny provides multiple ways to experience and reinforce the same knowledge.

Benefits of content repurposing

1. Greater learner choice

Learners can access content in the format most suitable for their circumstances and preferences.

2. Wider reach

The same learning can be delivered through mobile devices, classroom presentations, podcasts, videos and other learning platforms.

3. Improved accessibility

Voiceovers and audio formats can support learners who find extended reading difficult or prefer listening to content.

4. Better reinforcement

Encountering the same concept through more than one medium can strengthen understanding and recall.

5. Faster content production

Creators can transform an existing microlesson instead of preparing each format manually from the beginning.

6. Consistent learning messages

Because every format originates from the same microlesson, the central learning points remain aligned across channels.

7. Better use of approved content

Once subject-matter experts have reviewed and approved a microlesson, it can become the foundation for several learning assets.
