Purpose

This LurnyMagic page allows content creators to convert an existing document into a structured, bite-sized learning experience.

Supported documents may include:

  • PDF files

  • Microsoft Word documents

  • Microsoft PowerPoint presentations

  • Policies and procedures

  • Training manuals

  • Reports and reference material

  • Course notes and presentations

Lurny analyses the document, identifies its key learning points and converts them into one or more interactive microlessons.

How to create the microlesson

  1. Open Create a Microlesson from the left-side menu.

  2. Select From Document.

  3. Click Upload your file (PDF, DOC, PPT).

  4. Browse your device and select the required document.

Alternatively, drag the document from your device and drop it into the designated upload area.

  5. Wait while Lurny uploads and processes the document.

  6. Follow the subsequent prompts to review and create the microlesson.

Lurny extracts the relevant information from the document and generates a structured learning experience.

Recent microlessons from files

The lower section displays microlessons and clusters previously generated from documents. Each card may show:

  • The generated cover image

  • The microlesson or cluster title

  • Whether the content is a cluster

  • The number of items in the cluster

  • The number of learning stubs and quizzes

  • The XP learners can earn

  • Learner or engagement information

Selecting a card allows the creator to open and manage the generated content.

  • Upload a clearly structured document with meaningful headings and sections.

  • Remove outdated, duplicated or irrelevant information before uploading.

  • Use documents containing selectable text wherever possible.

  • Ensure scanned documents are clear and readable.

  • Use a focused source document aligned with the intended learning objective.

  • Check whether confidential or restricted information can be uploaded.

  • Review the generated content for accuracy, completeness and organisational relevance before publishing.

Important: The quality of the generated microlesson depends on the structure and readability of the source document. Scanned pages, complex layouts, unclear tables, poor-quality images or password-protected files may reduce processing accuracy.
